Fireside Chat
Tim made our first fire in the fireplace this year and Jacob decided he wasn't going to go to bed. Instead, he wanted to sit with Tim. The pictures are priceless (although I'm still learning to use my new camera so they aren't perfect.)

Jacob sat for a long time with his arm around Tim

Mikayla's Birthday
Since it's almost Christmastime, I figured I probably should get Mikayla's birthday pictures posted. Hard to believe she's 8 already!!!! When we were in Michigan for Thanksgiving, we had a small family party for her and then on her birthday, she opened presents from us and had a cake. We thought that since she was so goofy acting on her birthday, that we'd trick her with relighting candles. I wasn't sure how she'd react to them, but she thought they were pretty funny.

Yes, it's a headband around her neck! She thought it was cute.

After many failed attempts, she finally got it

So many pictures, so little time
Life has been crazy busy this quarter and I haven't had time to upload pictures...until tonight. There are a TON of them, going back to Halloween, Homecoming at school, our trip to Michigan and Rugby. Enjoy!!! (and leave comments!) We LOVE comments.

Shooting with the Boys
While in Michigan, Tim took the boys to a boys day out to go shooting. The 'older boys' were shooting skeet but the 'little boys' were just shooting. Micah only shot once and Seth shot 2x, but the pictures are super cute so I had to share.
It's all in the second ammendment. ;)

Cousins
Lots of pictues of the cousins while in Michigan.

It's virtually impossible to get this many kids to sit still for a picture. Who knows when we'll get one of these again.

Michigan Trip
Tim sort of surprised me this year when he asked me my thoughts about going back to Michigan for Thanksgiving. With gas prices lower and the kids off of school for a full week, we decided it was a good time for a trip. The kids knew we were going somewhere when they saw the suitcases, but we managed to keep it a secret as to where we were going all the way into Michigan. When we got there, the first thing they wanted to do was play in the snow! True "Michigan-at-heart" kids!

The Snowman they built. Notice the cherry tomato mouth. We couldn't find any rocks.

Micah, totally exhausted, after the trip and the day in the snow.

Rugby
Everyone knows that Tim is now working with the rugby team so I thought I'd post some pictures. Right now he is the team manager and is training to hopefully start in the spring. It's definitely a different game, and hard to really get a grasp of, but it's fun to watch and he loves to play it. It's sort of a cross between soccer and football but without any padding and when a 'tackle' happens, the play doesn't stop like in football. The goal is possession, not yardage, so you do just about anything you can to gain possession. In the game that I have pictures of, the final score was 101-0....US!!!! This is about what all our games are like. We don't play other colleges at all, and most of who we play are 'super league teams' who have paid players. We are still better than all of them and won the National Championship last year. So, enjoy the craziness and barbarianism of these pictures. ;)

The team!! Tim is 3rd from the left (our left) right by the goal post).
And don't forget the socials. After all rugby games, both teams go to a local pub. It can be an interesting time to see the two teams that just beat each other up, to socalize and relive the moments and hits of the game.
